Gogi Fitness

The Game of Golf Institute has developed an app called MyGogi. MyGogi is a swing analyzer for golfers. Essentially you video your swing and use one of the many helpful tools to see if something needs work. MyGogi will enable you to send your video to one of their several professionals who will analyze your swing and critique it for you. There are several swing analysis apps on the market, including Nike Golf, V1 Golf, Golf Swing Plane, and Swing Profile. What people don’t know is that MyGogi also has exercise videos and tips to help you stay fit and ahead of your playing partners at all times. MyGogi is a fairly new app and does not have that much of a marketing concept yet. MyGogi has really only become popular because of their Twitter. In the past year the GOGI team has accumulated over 23,000 followers on Twitter. Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube numbers are significantly lower. Using GOGI’s twitter followers as a indicator, the target audience ranges from the ages 16-24. These are people that still want to try and make a living out of playing golf.

At Gogi Fitness, we are trying to take the average golfer that plays 3-4 times a week and get them physically equal to the modern day golfers on the PGA tour. Golf has become more than just a lazy-man gentleman’s sport. The top golfers that are always in contention to win week after week are also the golfers that are known for their extensive workout regimens. For Gogi Fitness, we want to brand an image to the younger players that says, “You can do alright just playing and practicing golf, but if you want to be great then you have to work out, practice, and play.” Staying motivated and taking #nodaysoff will help anyone struggling to achieve their goals.

MyGogi is excited to announce the launch of our new app called Gogi Fitness. We would like to help our average golfers learn great techniques to keep themselves as fit and flexible as they desire. Golf is a extremely muscle driven sport. For example, your legs are your base. If something lacks a strong base, no matter what it is, it’s going to come tumbling down eventually. Your hips and core rotate at extremely high speeds and without flexibility you are missing a key component of your game. Your arms guide the club on a circular plane. The most important muscle is your brain. Staying focused and consistent is what turns an average golfer into a phenomenal golfer. We would like everyone that follows our blog, Twitter, and Storify to send us photos of themselves working on their golf exercises using the #nodaysoff. For every 500 photos we get, we will donate 500 dollars to St. Jude’s Birdie for a Cure fund. We are also allowing user submissions on our Gogi Fitness app. Every week we will pick one of our favorite submissions and post it on the home screen. The winner will also be included in a drawing to win 2 free tickets to the 2016 Masters. We have also partnered up with SoundCloud and created several different workout playlist that are available on our app.
